I just went through this exact same thing.
Loosen the bolt on top of the lever arm for the clutch lever on the tranny. Raise the clutch lever up about .25 to .5" so it can rotate without hitting the housing. Now rotate it so the back end that was hitting the housing can now go above it. This will release the clutch throwout bearing from the shift forks, allowing the tranny to be removed, leaving the throwout bearing, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel behind. |
Yeah...
What he said... :D |
Random is correct.
Also. Hope you have a clutch alignment tool and a new throw out bearing and some wee bit of grease. Follow the proper HMA installation instructions concerning the reinstallion |
thank you random and others. i will get back to you all on how it goes.

sorry bout the double post but the tranny is free. man the throw out bearing is shoved into the pressure plate and the pressure plate is deformend. ill update as soon as i can. thanks again guys. you all are true friends that i have never met. :D :D :D :D
|
hey mono, i encountered the same throw-out bearing fiasco too. Mine was all jammed up into the pressure plate deforming it also. I wonder if there is any correlation between yours and mines? I had 91K on mine when i replaced it.

As I remember, the throwout bearing is connect to the pressure plate by a snap ring. You need to remove the snap ring to get the bearing off.
The pressure should be deformed a bit, hyundai ones are weak ass *****es. |
