Default How much can I expect to pay to have my clutch replaced?

I bought a canned tune but havent put it in my car yet. My clutch has over 60,000 miles on it and Im afraid if I put the tune in, the clutch will for certain go out on me. I want to buy an act clutch kit (this one) so I want to know how much more I need to save up for the install. I dont have the know how to do it myself and I dont know anyone who can do it or even has the right tools for the job. So if I take it to a transmission place, what can I expect to pay to have it done by a professional so they dont see a girl and automatically try to rip me off? The flywheel has as many miles as the factory clutch so I want need to pay to have it resurfaced too, right? Is there anything else I need to have done?

Depending on the shop, you could be looking at between $300-600 for full install and flywheel resurfacing. So budget yourself $1,000-1,100 on the high side for the clutch plus install. If you have money left over, use it for some more car stuff.
