How long do aftermarket clutches last?

How long would a kore stage 3clutch last?

A buddy of mine told me that they only last 10,000 miles? WTF? i know the stock one is about 100,000 miles. but wouldn't the aftermarket one last longer?

Dude, COMPLETELY wrong message board. Try the KORE forums for that answer on KORE's website.

actually that would be a good debate. since SR doesn't produce any clutches as of yet, they don't have a bias on reviews. And TSR has a bigger user-base. I'll check out kore, but i'm not going to email kore and ask them if there product is good or not wink Nothing against, kore, they have a great product. I want to know from a user's point of view, and not the company that makes/sells them.

How long a clutch lasts depends on how you use it and what you use it for man...if you're going 100% flat out every time, all the time, don't expect it to last very long...!

Actually if you think about it.... a high performance clutch should last much longer than an OEM clutch.

If it grabs faster with less slipage then it shouldn't "wear" out as fast.

But.... and you knew there'd be a but... I pretty sure no performance clutch will last as long as an OEM clutch.

Maybe it's more like "sticky" tires... while they do indeed provide better traction and grip they also "wear" out much faster. Yes that's probably it... the performance clutch would then be softer than the OEM clutch.

Okay so I don't know... smile.gif

It really depends on the materal that the cluch is made of...the torque of the engine, the weight of the car, the gear ratios of the tranny, and the clutch skill of the driver.

There are simply too many variables.

My dad's on 176,xxx miles on his stocker clutch. Your's clapped out after ????? miles?

Part is the power difference of the 2 cars, and the driving style of the 2 drivers.
