I went to HP.com and saw the B&M. Could the shifter work in my Elantra?

Redzman, what do you mean by the color of the base plate? Why are their 2 kinds of B&M shifters?

Ok, I'll do it.

LOL

Ok, the plastic part that surrounds your shifter and holds the shifter boot? Take that off by pulling (Gently) straight up. When that part is off, look into the cavity and note the color of the bottom of it.

That's the base plate. It's also the part you have to slaughter to use the SR SS. If the plate is black, use this PN #45115. If it's White, the # is different but I can't remember... I THINK it's 45119. Ask around buddy.

Any time. Just remember me when you're handing out 5 stars.

LOL

Hey, lastly, it's easy to install, just make sure you know which way the spacers and spring go back on. If you don't, take a look at Webtech for the blown up view of how they go.
