Ok, look guyz.

I've got the B&M, it takes about 10 minutes for an IDIOT to install the damned thing (I didn't pay attention to what way the spacers and spring went on, took a trip to webtech). The B&M requires NO modifications to anything, is VERY smooth, much smoother than the stock, MUCH shorter throw, about 35 to 40%, and sits about an inch lower.

The idea of a SHORT SHIFTER isn't that it is SHORT in height, it's that the THROW is shorter, thereby DECREASING the amount of space to change gears and the TIME it takes to do so.

Get the B&M, auction off the knob it comes with (I got $25 for mine) and your SS totals for about $90.

Z,

Does your factory shift knob fit the B&M?

Good question.

I don't think so. The B&M comes with it's own shift knob (Looks ok, but feels good), and I used that until I got my Racerboy.

I think the shaft on the B&M is smaller in diameter.

I sold my original knob for $25 and the B&M for $30. LOL The shift knob was sold the day the B&M showed up.

Neo Tib,

That's exactly why I wanted to know if the stock knob would fit. I have a red Juntos shift knob that I don't want to sacrifice.

Sorry mang, usually I'd post the sites and everything.

I got mine from O'Rilley Auto Parts. Just gave them the part # (I don't remember, but look it up on the boards. Make sure you check the color of your base plate [Under the shifter assy.] before you order, there are 2 different shifters, one per baseplate) otherwise the shifter won't fit.

SR.com has them for $119, if you're a member, should be cheaper.

If I was you I'd get the part # and call your local auto stores. Find out if they carry or can order B&M parts, and give them the Part #. Tell them you've seen it for $115 or so and they'll hook you up. Thats how I got mine.
