Default Crank Pulley and Tranny Swap

Thought came across my head today.

When hyundai designer their crank dampener, was that on a freeloading engine, or with load with the transaxle enggaged.

For I am wondering if the automatic and manual use a different crank pulley.

Being an automatic would add different kinds of load to the crank over the manual tranny.

Wrong end. The crank pully/dampner is the same for auto's and manuals(as far as I know).

The Dampner is there for...
added flywheel effect (for/because of accesories)
Shock absorption (for/because of accessories)
Dampen harmonics in crank vibration due to combustion events and rotational/balance harmonic vibration

none of the above are affected by manual or auto.

In the auto, the torque converter takes the job (and is much more massive than the crank pully). In a manual, the flywheel does the job (and is much more massive than the crank pully).

I got the end right....

I was just wondering, if the input shaft on the transaxle being auto or manual added to vibration in the crank.

And if so, is that included in the dampening forces with the pulley.
