Not sure how exactly it happens, but when mine did this, one of the fingers on the TOB cracked, or tore off, I was running a heavy duty clutch at the time, with a stock Valeo TOB. Then shifting pedal in guess it caused the TOB to get a little sideways, binding on the shaft. So once reomoved it was a easy fix, TOB are cheap^^^^!!! Not a had job, just labor some!, but most certainly check the Hyrdralics before you tear into the trans. Very simpple and quick.

My random E-guess... spring on the clutch disc fell off and is now jammed in a way its not letting you push the TOB in to disengage the clutch. That is just a guess and still recommend what stocker said to do to isolate the problem.

Axles arent bad, you guys need help you have my number and i am free all weekend!!! Also the trans is fine, I am almost sure it is the same thing i had go wrong. Just get the axles out, have you got them seperated from the hubs, once you get them out of the Hub is the esasiest way to get them out of the trans, just grab then and give it one quick pull straight towards you can it shoul dpop out, just make sure when you put them in, they go in with the opening of the C clip DOWN!

If you pull the 2 big bolts from the knuckle, the axle should just pull out of the differential. You might pry (gently!) with a flathead screwdriver to get it started

^^^^^^ he is talking about... Remove the two bolts that hold the knuckle to the strut, remove those, might have to get a mallet to get them seperate, as they rust, and them if you have a RUBBER mallet you might want it out, you will probably have to pull the knuckle down, and start lightly smacking the end of course after you remove the castle nut and carter pin, it will pop out towards the trans, then grab the half shaft, and give it a nice firm tug, it should come right out!!!

That's every Hyundai trans Ive done. Never the same side and its not like it slides out super easy. Just relativly easy compared to the other side.
