Clutch going out?
Okay, I tried searching, but I really didn't find any specific answers.. My question is, what are all the ways you can tell if your clutch is going out? I feel hesitation a little bit when I shift, I think. Sometimes I just think I'm crazy but I don't know...
Also, when I put my shifter IN GEAR and leave it in gear, I have about one inch side-to-side play and about one-half to one inch front-to-back play.. Is this a problem? Related to clutch going out? Fixable? Thanks guys!

If its the stock shifter you have that is probley why it is loose i got a short shift from HVE and its alot tighter now..

The stock shifter does have "slop" (that side to side and forward/back play you noticed).
Switching to a short shfiter will not 100% elimate the "slop", but it will make it less noticable.
The way to tell if you clutch is going is fairly easy.
Slow down to 10 MPH put the transmission in 2nd gear and floor it. If the rise in engine RPMS do not match the rise in MPH(speed), then your clutch is slipping/going out.
Also, if your car "pops" out of gear, this can mean a bad clutch, or just a mis-adjusted shift linkage, but it is also one of the signs.
The Tiburons use Hydraluic clutches. The need to be bled, and flushed/re-filled just like your brakes do (you do flush/bleed your brakes every year...right?)

Umm.. uhhh... of COURSE! Actually, I haven't owned the car for even a year yet.. so I haven't done it, but I probably should considering who knows if previous owner did.. Guess it's time for me to do a search and find out how to bleed brakes/clutch.. Thanks Random! wink.gif
