Default clutch or gearbox?

can someone tell me what will go first in a 1st gen tib i think my gearbox is going sometimes i can't get into first i need to pump the clutch a bit to get it to slide or let the car roll a bit if im on a hill.

help!!!!

That sounds like your gear syncronizers, not the clutch.

You should have that looked at rather soon, once the syncro's go bad, the teeth on the gears go next!

However, if "pumping" the clutch allows it to work, you might have air in your clutch line. Your clutch is hydraulic, try bleeding it and see if that helps. If it does not...then you know the problem is Syncro/gear related, not clutch related.

Random i am about to get a NOS system installed on my car should i change my clutch at all?

I will get it looked at tomorrow. can you tell me how long the standard gearbox will last i don't know much about this area.
