Default Clutch fork issue

Hey everyone

I have just put a new clutch in my 03 trans (elantra) and now that everything is back together I have an issue.

When I got to lock up the lever that jams the tob to the pressure plate, everything. Seems ok till I push the cluch is will ingage

Fine the first time then basically it gets stuck and won't bring its self back to it position to engage again .

Almost sounds like the tob didn't actually lock into the pressure plate. I had something very similar happen to me and had to end up dropping the trans again.

I agree with spoolin. How hard did you push to seat the TOB into the pressure plate? Did you hear/feel anything. Release the slave and try and get it to seat again. If that fails, you might have to take it apart. If the split ring is messed up.. that might not be good.

Might not be = is not

I just replaced my clutch because the silly little retention ring wore too thin to hold in position. Did you use a new pressure plate and throwout bearing?
