Nah, you dont need to replace it.

Its like replacing the washer in the oil everytime ya change oil. only replace it if it leaks really.

it should only grind going into 2nd when you shift at 6rpms.

if it grins below that you need a tranny rebuild. your syncro is going.

Ok, so here's the drain plug, but where do you put the gear oil in?

And do manuals benefit from a tranny cooler?

Automatics, come with a system setup with the radiator.

were they actually have coolant running through them.

They manual has no such setup.

Basically... tranny coolers cant be used on manuals.

umm, there is a little rubber thing up lop you pull therubbed plug and put it in.

also on the front of the tranny there is abolt.

bah, I will scan some pics, later tonight.

Go to HMA an click on your model, year. scroll down to transaxle/transmision, manual transaxle, go down to general and you'll see replacement of transaxle gear oil. There you go.
