How do I change the transmission fluid im my 01 tiburon 5 speed. What type of fluid do I replace it with? (something I can find at one of the local parts stores)
you get 75w90 gear oil. you don't have a dip stick. you take out the drain plug, let it drain, and close it. then, when you fill it, you fill it and check it with your finger. you put your finger in the hole and when you bend or tip your finger down and get oil on it, then it's full. that's the method to add manual tranny oil. btw, you don't need to change it. it's not dirty. it really never gets dirty. you have a 2001. the oil is fine.
edit--
f**k yeah, i hit the 200 mark.

Basically what Turb said, but hyundai recommends Gear oil changed every 30k miles and automatic fluid changed every 20k miles, to keep your driveline warranty.
http://www.hmaservice.com/webtech/
will explain how to change your oil.
Also I recoomend picking up the Chiltons manual, they only have it for the 98-99 coupe, buts the 98-99 tiburon has same components as the 00-01.
Since you are changing your oil, make sure of a few things.
Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil is bad.
Actually any GL 5 is bad, it will kill your tranny.
Stay with GL4 and GL4 only.
I recommned Redline MT-90 gear oil.
or B&M Syncromesh
Hyundai uses a GM Syncromesh gear oil, and after 30k they add a b&M additive.

mobil1 eats brass and other yellow metals. those are found in hyundai transmission syncros.
so your syncros will go bad and you will need a transmission rebuild.
you have about 7-10k miles depending on how often you grind.

i just add mine in and the fluid flushed and it didnt help mine...it almost seems to be happening more and more since then...and the pedal is to the floor!!! the dealer told me thats its just one of those things....i say BS!!!!
BG Syncro Shift (Transmission)
Red Line MT-90 Transmission Lube (Transmission)
They have been known to help with grind problems, cause they are a very high quality fluid. but.
If you are talking about the high rpm 1-2 shift that grinds, it will always do that, nothing is wrong, its how the tranny was made.

That hmaservice.com site is awesome, thanks for the link. On that site, it says to replace the drain plug gasket...is that really necessary?
My transmission just started this grind about 2,000 miles ago (44,000 miles)...but, it is normal for it to do that huh? Isnt that gonna cause some damage?
