i got an idea, if my tranny is blown and i need a new one, any chance i could change my 5 speed to have a 6 speed put into my car? or was this the dumbest question of all time?

 

Are you referring to the 6-speed from an 03 Tiburon? If so...

1. It wouldn't be cost effective since the 03 is a new model year and chances are you will not find one available so easily or without giving up a kidney. Plus, since no one has tried it before you don't know how much you would need to spend.

2. More than likely it would be incompatible with a 1st Gen Tiburon.

 

not specifically the third gen 6 speed, any in general, but would it just be the third gen that would fit? darn it.
yo, if i wouldnt void my warranty id pay like 3 grand for it to be done, how many 6 speed first gens are there? NONE. id win at least one price at a show!
