Any recommendation on a clutch?

My clutch is slipping in my 01 tib I could use some recommendations on a clutch. Mods are cai and short shifter, will be doing header and exhaust in Jan. I want a clutch that can handle some drag racing and spirited driving. Maybe nitrous a little later down the road. All I got from the review thread was to stay away from spec.

I have used ACT with great success in the past. If you were to go that route than I suggest a 4 puc disc with a sprung hub, that will give you the holding power you are looking for plus the play room to keep it streetable.

A 4 puck is overkill for his mods

I suggest goin with the act street disk

I would also suggest 4 puck disc with a sprung hub, and atleast a Heavy duty plate, that will be the best streetability and also provide you with room to grow! One thing is the 4 puck likes to talk and chatter when warmed up, but it works great if you can get use to the chatter!

ACT Street Performance - FTMFW. Mine has handled my assclown driving for almost 100k miles. I did a load test on it not to long ago just to see if it was still healthy. 3rd gear at 20mph, rev up and dump... the tires spun o.0 yeah its good. LOL.

On top of great clutches ACT has some awesome customer service.

ugh you guys are tryin to recommend a grenade launcher when a .22 rifle will do

hes not lookin to have a clutch that can hold 400+ ft/lbs

hes lookin for a clutch that can hold ~200ft/lbs

get the ACT street disk, its got very very smooth engagement, you wont stall it around all the time like you would with a heavy clutch like a 4 puck plus when i was spraying, the street disk held up just fine with a 100 shot

AND IT WILL LAST YOU LONGER

You do not want any pucs on a street clutch. They have too damn much engagement force.

Do the clutch restrictor removal and get an organic clutch. I'm happy with my autozone Perfection Zoom. It's an organic clutch with an increased clamping force. It drives nicely and handles nitrous.

Thanks for the info i had read about the perfection but having a he'll of a time tracking 1 down. Looks like I am gonna go with act street or clutchmasters street. Vivid racing is here local and have them in stock
