Torque converter won't do it. Even with stock tires and 3500 RPM, you would be doing a little over 80mph and with your aftermarket tires you would still be doing a little over 80mph at 3500 RPM. There are 3 Final drive ratios availiable from hyundai on the automatic a 3.997, 3.659 and 4.345. The 3.997=87.74mph, 3.695=95.84mph and 4.345=80.71mph, all at 3500 Engine RPM.

Absolutely correct!! If it was the tundra of my Chicagoan backyard than I would estimate a .027 foot crater...err, than again there arent many cliffs to drive off of. sad.gif Too bad.

Sounds like theres nothing wrong with your speedo, your running 3500 and driving 80mph. Get a buddy of yours to drive in front of you and drive 80mph and see if you drive 80mph also.

WELL it depends on the conditions. For instance you could land in water then No crater but say you land in a rock quary. HMMMM MABY .00034 BUT if you add a wing to the front you might just be able to fly.

As for the Speedo. YOu said you had no work done.
Could have been off before and is now accurate?
Since it is a voltmeter it could be off for electrical reasons? Say bad resistors or coils (in the speedo not the engine)
