Anyone ever been in a movie, tv show, or commercial? Either in a serious role or just as a fill in (back ground person)? I thought about going to some auditions for just as a background type of thing. Wonder if they pay or if its volunteer work.

i was in a local hyundai commercial back in 99, even had a line something like "all that for only 10,999! wow!"

and being that i was in that commercial, i was able to get my j2 for 10,999 even though it was a optioned GLS model and they were supposed to be advertising the GL model for that price.

me and my mom sat there until they gave us the vehicle for that price (something like 6 hours IIRC)

I've done acting work in a few local films but I prefer post production. Actually finishing up my animation reel right now! My mother in law has done a bunch of zombie work for The Walking Dead and plays the random token white lady in a bunch of Tyler Perry films/TV spots.

I Also have a youtube channel where I make spoof music videos. Did one as a 2 week production challenge last year and this summer I'm shooting 3 more videos for the 2012 "season."

The closest I can think of for this thread is my buddy from high school working at Digital Domain (firm that did CGI for Titanic) and now at Dreamworks working directly for Steven Spielberg. He's done CGI on Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3, 2012, Transformers...etc.

You have to be real good though.

Well let's see.

In high school I used to read the school's lunch menu for the week dressed as the Sweedish chef. Only ever have 1 person in my school realize it was me.

Then a few years back I had a small speaking role in an independent film a friend of mine made.

I also appeared on local tv once,(one step above public access where there is an actual production team/studio but the broadcast radius is something like 5 miles) I was at a local block party/town celebration thing and they asked me a few questions like if I was having fun (I think I was like 10).

All that acting and I've never seen a penny.

Not sure how many of you remember Bradley (Yamaneko), but he was in a few movies as an actor in his early years. He was even in Jurassic Park 3
