Title says all. I know they're super light weight, and having lighter rims helps free up HP, but do you guys think they are worth the buy or is the money better spent somewhere else, when you're looking to build up performance in your car?

Light tire equals wheel spin? Are you serious? That's kinda like saying forced induction equals wheel spin. Lighter rims spin easier because you're putting more power to the ground. If you're that worried about tire spin, disconnect one of your spark plug wires.
Yes TE37's are worth the money. You're paying for light weight and high quality.

worth the money = relative... what are you using them for? daily driving? or competitive racing where every ounce counts? drag racing? track racing?
for any of my use, i would say they would NOT be worth the price. for a daily driver, a set of konigs or like rims will look great and hold up unless your an idiot and cost much less.
even for someone who tracks their car for fun, konigs or alike will be plenty enough.
in my opinion, to justify volks, you would be doing some type of competitive racing or for money, where every ounce counts and every .01 on the clock counts.
most name brand rims like enkei and konig are plenty strong and have decently light choices and for the majority of drivers are a perfect 'fit'
volks/rays/advan/work are for the SERIOUS enthusiasts who race or want HI-END stuff everywhere on their car; whether it be to sport a hi-end name, support the 'non-knockoffs' or because they do have their benefits for people racing and beating the crap out of the wheels weekly.

Actually, if you're tracking your car, unsprung weight makes a HUGE difference. My Civic is noticeably quicker and handles better on 16" Rotas than on 17" Kyowa's. The Rota's are 6 Lbs. lighter, but the rim/tire combo is the same diameter.
^^^ Also a little more side wall is really nice to have! It will keep you from smashing rims, as with 17's on a Tib your going to want to run a 40 series tire that doesnt give you much sidewall when running a 205 tire. I like running my 45 series on a 16! More room for the silly unseen potholes!
Plus not to mention the tires you can purchase as a 205/45/16 is alot better than looking for 205/40/17's...

Yea, I run 25/45/16 Potenza's Re760, there about the widest tire of the 205/45 series, as they all tend to very but I love the way they just hold the road, plus i can Wot 2nd and catch most of the time, I cant do that with any tire i had ever ran before!
