Painting brake calipers
Whats the best way to get a smooth appearance on the brake calipers? Right now if I taped them off, sprayed primer and paint...they would still have the textured appearance. I want to make it smooth like brembos have. Would I have to sand them down with a low grit sandpaper before priming?

Use G2 Brake Caliper paint dont just use regular hight temp spray paint
Here's crappy phone pic of 1 coat of G2 painted caliper didnt even do a good job removing the rust. if you prep it good you'll probably get a way much better result.

I simply have a small 5 gallon sand blaster, completely removed all 4 calipers from teh vehicle, sand balsted these guys, then washed them in the sink with soap and water, then used the two part caliper EPOXY paint.
Mine came out smooth and very nice i think! click the picture to see how "SMOOTH" the caliper really looks!

I did mine with caliper paint. Came out ok. Nowadays, there's so many powdercoating shops that you'd be better off getting one of them to coat it. They even clean them for you, and the coating will last a lot longer than any spray on paint. Call around!
