Anyone ever used this paint on their rim lips?

I've heard that if you apply it to chrome or aluminum surfaces, you get the anodized look. I have similiar rims as these with a chrome lip and was thinking about getting the blue Xmetals paint and doing something like this, since my car is cobalt blue
