I was browsing, and saw these. I wondered why there's been so much talk and efforts of doing a gk - rd 4 lug to 5 lug conversion when you can just custom make these adaptors. I think they can make them hub-centric, and to whatever thickness you want it to be (which would act as a spacer/lugnut-adaptor combo).

Thought I'd throw it out there as a possible alternative.

I could never find these. Eitherway I'd be happy knowing my setup is actually better than before for racing it. For shows though, those would be CAKE and it'd open up your options for wheels a BUNCH. very good find!

Good post man, glad someone brought them up, I forgot all about em. Not for everyone for SURE, but they'll work.

Wonder how far they'd push out the wheels.

Although there's got to be a minimum width for the adaptor (which would push the wheels out by that much), I think that you can choose how much you want it to be. Here's a link to their custom-order form. On there, there's a field where you specify what thickness you want the adaptor to be.

You're getting new wheels if you are going 4 to 5 lugs. . . specify the proper offset and you'll be fine. That said, umm, NO way would I like to roll on those!

Couldn't we just swap out the hubs with ones from another car? Like an Acura TL or Integra or some Toyota or Mitsuishi Lancer?

Elantra:

Acura:

Lancer:

Lancer EVO:

Santa Fe 5 x 114.3:

Tiburon:

I mean simple as that, a swap with a Lancer. No complicated GK conversions. No crazy costly cutting or welding involved. What do you guys think?

Lancer? I'm pretty sure the GK hubs fit . Although most people seem to swap the whole GK spindle for ease of installation.

5x114.3 would make it easier to find 17's and up. I was more interested in the 4x100 Accent hubs for the better selection of lightweight wheels.

Mad_john did a GK hub swap but came across lots of problems. This seems like a simple swap out. Seems simple enough to do at home too. How come nobody ever thought of it?

I'm doing the widebody Tib conversion so I need to find a solution. A lot of DSM/Mitsu parts fit old Hyundais. Parts are practically the same. It's sure to fit.
