Default Opinions on this?

I have a friend who is willing to sell me his chrome 18" Niche Shok wheels (with tires for only $500- one wheel needs refinishing tho). Think they would look good?? Anyone already have these on a Tib(pics perhaps)?

Is he selling you the Shoks or the Shocking Shoks?? Cause the one in the pic is the Shocking Shok. The diff is the Shocking Shok is the deep dish design like in the pic. The normal Shoks are more or less just fluch with the rest of the rim. I know a lot of peeps that have them but not on there tibs. Personally I think there are too many of em out there but they do look sweet though.

My main concern would be the offset. If you're getting the bad boy you've got there in your picture, you're gonna have one helluva hang-over sticking out of your wheel well. eek.gif

Well, on Niche's website this is the pic that they give for the Shok wheel. The pic they give for the Shocking Shok shows a similar design that is flush to the outer lip.

The offset is 42 and this is within the offset range that Random stated earlier (I searched the archives). I hope they dont stick out too much tho

The offset is fine, it's the size, 18" are real wide and your tire walls will be real thin, I'd advise regular alignment checks with these.

BUT DAMN THEY LOOK GOOD !!!!!!!!!

No sorry there. Your backwards. The ones you have in the pic are the Shocking Shocks. The flush ones are the Shocks. http://www.nicheroadwheels.com/html/shocki...king_shock.html

Is that $500 a wheel or is that total cause damn if it is $500 total i would go for it. The picture you have is of the Shocking Shok which is a two piece wheel that is deep dish and the main center part of the wheel is silver/clear coat and the outer rim part is chrome. The Shok however is a one piece solid chrome wheel that as far as i know only comes in 17 or smaller. I priced these out even though like someone else said they are played out and are at least 3 years old now but they were going to be every bit of $2500 for the one piece Shoks with Toyo Proxies in 17". I love these wheels and would definatly go for it even though there are a ton out there. I was gonna but i have something else in mind.

ps. I would love to see some pictures of tibs with chrome wheels since everything so far has racing wheels on it.

Thanks JD

Here is a link to the 18" Niche Shoks I am getting. Whether they truly are Shocking Shoks or just plain Shoks, I care not. smile.gif smile.gifShok

red- It is $500 for the wheels with Toyo Proxes on them.

I talked to the guy more last night about it, and it seems that the one wheel has a big chunk out of it and will probably need replacing. The other wheels are in great conditions, and the tires have probably 80-90% treadlife left.

This seems to be a helluva deal so I'm gonna jump on it. Even with replacing the one rim, Ill be riding on phat 18's for around $1,000!!!

The link you posted states that they are 8.5" wide DAMN I think they will seriously rub, I have 18"x7" wheels and they are pretty tight.
I think 7.5" wide is your max.

Barry.
