I was thinking about getting some Motegi rims and were just wondering if these are good quality rims or cheapos and also if gunmetal rims would look ok on a red 97 tib or should i go with black rims. I was thinking of the FF7 series. Thanks.

Motegi makes good wheels. I bought a set myself.

It's all about what you like really. You're not wrong for liking gunmetal rims on a red car, and nobody on this forum is going to say anything negative about you for doing so.

I still have yet to find out what they'll look like on my car though. I'm putting them on Thursday.

i would, but i've got rear drum brakes. i don't know how weird it would look with nice red calipers, and huge red drums. how hard is it to swap to rear disc brakes anyone know?

motegis are nice rims.. but the ONLY ones i wouldn't get for sure are the MR7.. they are the most played out aftermarket rim ever.. they even have a ton of knockoff MR7s made by various companies. i've always liked the style of em, but they are way way to common.

I did want to get the MR3 gunmetal rims, but the store doesnt carry em anymore. Motegi ff7 rims are 24lbs i believe, you can get the track-lite which are about 14,15 lbs something like that.

I have bsa 233 rims and rota subzero rims, both silver and the rota's are brand new in the boxes still, but im still looking for something different.

A big thumbs down from me...I had MR7s and they bent and chipped so easily, and in general looked horrid and cheap and ricey.
