I don't clean my tires at all (I probably should), but my brother does on occasion. He uses the meguiars tire foam (something like that) to get it clean, then the black magic tire shine. The meguiars cleans it, the black magic gives it that wet look.

Ya I rarely clean my tires and after a while having all that bulit up crap on there it gives the tires a browish look. Not very appealing!!!!

Soap and water will get rid of the old tire dressing. Why not just use some foaming tire cleaner to make them black and shiney again?

westley's tire white (use for white walls but sucks the dirt right out of the rubber pores)

usually 4 to 5 bucks for a 32 to 48 oz. bottle at wally world

after that i use black majic tire wet gloss. makes your tires smell like cherries, lol. like anyone is going to smell my tires but the neighborhood dogs seem to like it alot.

use armorall spray foam because the dirt/debris comes off with it. i still haven't seen anything that will give it that ULTRA mirror shine though. so far all the products i've used make it look ok but not spankin'

I use whatever i wash the car with to get old dirt off and the meguiars nxt generation extreme tire shine with the eagle one applicator sponge thing. i spray it on the sponge and wipe it on the tire best result out of everything else for tire shine i think and ive use just about them all.

Awesome, I'll try a few of those products.....I've tried the hard brush and soapy water method before, but the brush is garbage afterwards as the gunk coming off is like gummy, dirty, sticky, poo!!! and it clogs the brush up and makes it useless again. As for a shining agent, I use the Meguiars products for that, they smell Mmmm mmm good!!!!
