No Brake Fluid Through The Rear Passengerside Brake Lines
Ok so I did my front wheel bearing today on the passenger side. That went smoothly up until the front disk wouldnt come off the hub solved that problem and went on to why my back brakes do not work.
So its been a few weeks and due to lack of funding for buying parts I didnt want to tear into it and find out how screwed I really was. Today I decided to take a look at it to see why neither the parking brake worked, nor the back brakes in general. I took apart the drivers side, took off the caliper opened the bleeder and a bit of fluid came out. Finished bleeding that side the brakes now work on 3/4s of the car. I took and opened the bleeder on the passenger side of the car nothing even with pumping the living hell out of the thing. Brake fluid was full I had to check to make sure that wasnt my problem. Next I took the line off the caliper and had my friend pump the brakes. Nothing, zip zero zilch, NOTHING CAME OUT! Now to specify that I dont know how (other than a fluid style brake system) the brakes work. Whether its 4 lines that run off the master cylinder or if its two lines that run to a break distribution block. To split it off from there.
Nope with that being said, and hmaservice.com not working as of yesterday. What reasons logically are there other than the master cylinder being bad and the brake line being plugged up? Please start with the most probable ones first then you may feel oblidged to giving me the off the wall insane probably not reasons. In which case its me so there is a possibility for it being the culprit.
Thank you.

You have eliminated a lot of things already. It basically comes down to the two things you mentioned last. Which would be the master cylinder (I forget how ours are exactly set up) or a bad line somewhere. Thing is the line would have to be completely sealed to not work at all. That seems impossible. When you step on the brakes there is something like 1000 pounds of pressure when you step on the brake pedal going to the caliper. That would get by a slight bend or kinked line, it just wouldnt return causing the brake to stick.
THat being said I think you master cylinder is leaking internally and not getting fluid to that wheel. I would like to see what other people say though as well as this is quick thinking and I am tired.

well, the master cylinder also has a proportioning valve thing after it. i would take the line off the pro. valve that runs to the rear corner you are having problems with and see if it pushes fluid out. if it does push fluid out then you likely have a blocked up line somewhere, which sucks donkey balls.
also maybe try taking the entire soft line off and see if fluid comes out. that would be MUCH easier to fix than hard line.

Would be a good thing to check, just pulling the line off the master cylinder. That wouldnt be a cheap line to rerun but I dont see how it could have gotten blocked. Good thing I know how to make brake lines and have the tools.
Well thats not so bad then if you have to. I think master cylinder though. Because I dont think it could be completely blocked like that in a line. I guess anythings possible though
I think its the master cylinder as well but I will find out come 10am tomorrow when I get up and decide I want to work on it. Unless its raining or snowing. I do live in ohio anythings possible
im doubting the blocked line too, that would be odd. but it wouldn't be the MC, as he is getting fluid to one side of the rears(only two outputs on the MC). that's why im thinking pro. valve, which is much more likely to break than have a line clog up.
tools aren't the problem when doing brake lines, its getting all the bends correct and in place with the gobs of other shit surrounding that area.

Well I called the dealer ship for pricing on the Proportioning Valve. Yeah. I almost died inside. They told me that it would be something extravagant like 275$ Can this really be true?! Its a peice that splits 2 tubes into 4 tubes. WTF can make it so expensive?! So due to the simple fear of tearing it appart and finding out that that is the problem I need to know if anyone may happen to have one of these nifty little peices that you dont need?
