Default New Lightweight Wheels

Anyone heard of new 5Zigen FN-01R? They are forged. They claim they are 4.8 lbs for 15's, 5.3 lbs for 16's, and 6.6 lbs for 17's. That's very light. Does anyone know who sells them on the web?

I just saw them on AKT, if the website is right, then those are the lightest aluminum wheels, and the cp-035s are about 2 lbs heavier. Guessing theyre gonna be about $1700 for a set seeing that theyre lighter than the CP-035s and the Volk Te-37s... The best deal I've seen on lightweight wheels are Axis/Lenso VPDs and they're 12 lb wheels for $500. CP-035s and the Volk Te-37s were going for three times that.

Those 5Zigen rims are sweet.

They were on the 5Zigen's RSX at SEMA. They run about $450 a wheel eek.gif.

The Racing Harts only come in white and gold? No aluminum? BLEACHED! sad.gif

Ehh...what do I care...I don't have the need for forged indestructable rims yet, anyway.

Actually the cheapest lightweight wheels are the Enki ER01 or RP01. They are only $120 in 16" sizes.(www.tires.com) They are cast and not forged, but the large 5 spoke design should hold up well to daily abuse.

And at 120 a wheel, you can get 3-4 sets of them for less than the price of 1 set of Volk or CP035's or the 5Zigens...

What other indestructable/forged options are there than the Racing Harts?

Kosei K1 Racing are not forged but they are pretty light too. Besided Racing Hart CP-035, other most popular forged wheel alternative is Volk Racing TE-37. Well, here is my favorite web page when it comes to the wheels. It tells you the weights and if the wheel is forged or cast. Wheel Weight List
