Default Badass 17" will they fit?

I'm thinking about getting a set
of ADR DTM 17" wheels for my red
tibby. I think they'll look fat.
Does anyone know if they'll fit and
what size tire should be good? I'm going to be lowering my car, so How mutch can I lower before they start rubbing? Thankx!

ok yes they will fit get tire size 205-40-17 and keep in mind u have to remove the screws that go into the rotors in order for any rims to fit with a offset of 40+ and i know u can lower it atleast 1.2 inches with out rubbing thats what i did.

I called DTM like last year and they said that the rims wouldn't fit. I don't remeber if they said it was because of a wrong bolt pattern or because of the screws. If it was beacuse of the screws then your OK because I removed those anyway to put on my Motegi's.

The White DTM-GT8's were my second rim choice behind TSW Revo's. Good luck and post some pics if you get them so I know what I missed out on.

ok....you called DTM, but they're ADR wheels. Hence, made by ADR.

Yeah, they will fit. They have a bolt pattern of 4/114.3 Go with what Chrometib wrote above and you'll be ok. If you want to drop it 1.5/1.6 then you'll need to roll your fenders a little bit.

But if you roll your fender, won't it tilt your wheel's and make your tires grip less? Isn't that a stone's throw from being a rice boy with a 45* angle on his tires? I want to be able to throw some bad-ass 17" white rims on my tibby and lower it without having to loose take-off. Any suggestions on a bad-ass white rim?

Also does anyone have any pics of a white rim on a tibby(red preferably) or just pics of those adr's. Any other suggestions? thankx

On your 2K Tiburon you have NON-CAPTIVE ROTORS. The screws the were mentioned do nothing. They are just there. I removed mine by hand when I went shopping for wheels.

How do you check? Remove your wheel. You should see 2 philips head style screws in the front and possibly 1 or 2 in the rear. Just take them out.

If you wanna little more rubber you can go with 215/40-17. It may throw your speedo off a little.

Whatever...don't be a dick. Like I said it was a year ago and I don't remeber exactly who I called. Does ADR make the DTM GT-8? If so I called them. It's not important.

Back to the real issue. White rims would look tight on a red Tibby. Check out my website below for a pic of white rims on a Tropic Green Tiburon.

But it's phun!! no, seriously, that was dick. Sorry Zeek. Got into a throw-down at a dance club yesterday and was in a shizzy mood.

White rims look sweet on a red Tib. I've also seen a red Tib in the area with 17" black Mille Miglias. Rims are a tough choice for me...strongly considering 17" Konig Villains though in black opal finish.

yup! white rims look nice on a red tiburon. I've seen a 1st gen tiburon (red of course) with 17" white turismos and that looked tight. I say go for it
