ok, i own a 98 accent gsi i used to have chrome 16 inch rims on it that were the wrong offset (+35mm) and it caused rubbing around really sharp turns well at least undil i banged out teh rear fender lip. but i am going to put some 17s on my accent they are the ICW racing 10 spoke tuners with a +40mm offset so i would have no rubbing at all, but my question is will 17s throw off my speedo with 40 series tires on them? i had 40 series on my 16s and it perfectly matched my factory diameter. should i go with 16s again? i only got rid of my last ones because they were too HEAVY. thanks guys

Without knowing the tire width, I cannot give you an accurate answer.

More than likey, the 17" wheel will require a 35 tire, or you will have to go to a narrower tire in 17x40....
