I just bought a 2000 tib with cut coils. Someone thought it would be cool to lower it that way, now I want to do it right.

I am looking at a coilover kit by D2 Racing, has anyone got one installed or does anyone have a better idea?

^^ARK, please don't quote the post directly above yours.

Good decision on lowering your car the right way.

I've never heard of D2 racing making parts for us...?

Never seen the ARK system personally, but it looks VERY nice. Also, I have their exhaust, and they make a VERY nice short shifter too, ARK has stepped up the quality of their parts.

Anyway..
This all depends on how much you want to spend, what your uses are, etc.

What is your budget?
Are these for track use? AutoX? Daily driving?
Do you want them to be adjustable?
Are you looking for springs, struts, or both?
How low do you want to go (take into consideration where you live, if you plan on getting a bodykit, speed bumps around your neighborhood, etc..) ?

H&R coilovers. period.
Handles great, yet very comfortble, and not jaw braking. How it's supposed to be.

You'll be getting the best kit in my eyes, being composed of Bilstein struts... For less money.

BTW, there is no 2002 tiburon. And in the suspension department (as some others), you can get anything from a 97-01 tib, not just 00-01.

Also, ARK actually does make coilovers for our cars: http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=21852

Thanks for the heads up on the no 2002

That must be why when I was looking for my red tib I found what was being sold as 2002's in both 2nd and 3rd gen body styles. DMV was never good at years

and love the ARK Coilovers they look just like the D2 Racing ones. wish there was a compairison on them the D2 is about 1/2 the price at hopup racing. And that includes shipping.

This is the first I've ever heard of D2 Racing...so the coilovers can't be good man.

The ARK ones are nice, but pricey. Why don't you go with some KYB AGX's, then pick your favorite spring? Or use your current springs?

Also, the veilside kit is ugly and played out man. Plus, with how low your car already is, it would be sitting on the ground if you get the vader kit.

I love the look of the vader kit, But your right about my car being to low to sport it anyway

I dont think there is any kit that will go under my car as low as I want to keep it. So I am stuck with stock.

BUT I LOVE IT

D2 racing really has some good reviews the tib products are to new to even be on the site yet (no shock there)

but this is all a few months down the road yet. all of the reports and thoughts are not posted yet.

Keep your thoughts coming!

lol, if nobody on this site has heard of it, then any review you read is a fake, or the company's own review.

it will be interesting to see their product though.

you really like the vader kit? is that because its the only on on ebay? have you seen any of the other kits for the rd2s? zefiro, zefiro turbo, cuda 1, cuda 2, erebuni's gtr....?
