Some dumbass mother f***ing son of a b**** just ran me off the road drillsergeant.gif! I manage to stay on the road, with the brakes to the floor, long enough to slow down and hit the ditch. I'm alright and the tib just has some spider webbing from the front bumper flexing(that I can see). I'll check it out better in the morning. Right now I'm just pissed.

The guy didn't even stop just ran off the road a little behind me(after I hit the ditch) and swerved back onto the road and kept going. I'm kind of glad he didn't stop though now that I think about it because I would have been in jail for assault if he had.

Anyway, just had to rant to someone...

Whatever happens, don't use a chain to try to pull the car out and take pix.

I got the car out of the ditch without any problems.

I didn't get his plates because he didn't stop. The only reason I know he went on is because I stopped incredibly fast in the ditch, and about 12 feet from the trees. I have NO idea how in the hell it stopped on dirt. The embankment maybe? Although it wasn't very steep at all. Anyway, I stopped and immediately looked to see what happened to him and he was just swerving back onto the road. I jumped out to try and make out the plates but he kept going and I couldn't get them mad.gif.

I have been looking at the damage with a flashlight and other than the normal rock chips, all I see is a bit of spider webbing... I think I can live with it. But then again, sunlight can reveal more then a flashlight.

I'm just glad that I had enough nerve to wait to swerve so the brakes would have time to slow me down.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful that it wasn't any worse then it is. But it still pisses me off.

A lesson to anyone who drinks: Don't drive if your going to be drinking, get a DD. You won't just mess up your life, but someone elses with it.

Ok I think I'm done ranting for the night nana.gif.

I use to drive 200 miles 6 nights a week from 7pm to 4am to deliver medications to nursing homes out in the middle of nowhere and I can absolutely understand your frustration. Drunk drivers have caused more accidents to the people around them then themselves and then they usually get some lame ass sentence and get off within a few years. Have your reported anything to your insurance company yet? If you have a low deductible it might be worthwhile to start a claim.

That sucks man, but at least your okay and it sounds like the Tib made out okay too. Driving drunk is not cool, my cousin lost both her parents to a drunk driver, so just remember that it could have been worse

^ I know it could have been a lot worse. Two people I know died last week in a car wrecks. Both were the other drivers error(running a red light and stop sign). I'm very thankful I made it out without a scratch and that the tibby did with only a minor battle scar.

I looked it over this morning and other then that bit of webbing all it did was get it dirty lol. Thank god for urathane.

In hind sight, I should have jumped back in the car and run him down to get the plates and called it in. Because I would have stayed on the phone and followed him until the police pulled him over. But I was too worried about the tib.

There's really no damage to complain about to the insurance company... If it had done anything else I would.
