So we had these contractors at my hospital today. I was assigned to be their point of contact and run ahead to notify people they'd be in their area. They were filling holes with fire caulk. It was great being able to notify people we'd have a few guys putting their caulk in the walls a bit later today. We were having fun, you know, caulk jokes.... Until we came to the OB/GYN clinic.

It was hard enough saying caulk around the ladies in the OBGYN, but then they told me they were having a heavy patient flow day. I told them I'd notify the contractors about the heavy flow day in the OBGYN and immediately left to get back to work......

It took everything I had to keep a straight face until I left the clinic.

^^ no in order to fireproof walls, you have to be a certified caulk slinger. I can't sling the caulk like those guys can. In fact, we had a master caulk slinger and the other guy was just helping him sling his caulk. My job was to stand around and watch them sling caulk. I played with their caulk a bit, but I was not able to do anything productive with their caulk. Theres some ordinances and the proper paperwork must be filled out and labels attatched when you put your caulk in the wall. It's not like you can just go around sticking your caulk in any wall you feel like. You have to go to school to learn how to use your caulk properly. I have alot of respect for the caulk.

So basically, i stood around all day and watched them stick their caulk in the wall.

I guess I should go to caulk school before I mess around with any more caulk. Besides I don't want to end up in jail for slinging caulk without the proper caulk license. I'd definitally end up the b**** if the other inmates heard I was in for that offense.
