Complaints in order, you don't have to respond if you don't desire:
1. The many troops who have lost their loves for a sh*tty cause that will not change one thing. Say we left the war now, terrorists and extremists will just reform and come back for an even bigger punch. They're burning American flags more than ever.
2. Ghetto people. Their kids adapt to simple ghettoness and become all alike, and then most have shotty kids...and so on. It's wrong of me to say this, but they all like the same music and same things I really can't tell the difference. But that brings me to my next point.
3. Preppy assfaces who think they're the sh*t. Whether White, Asian, Hispanic whatever, damnit just because you wear school colors, shoot a ball into a net doesn't mean you're the hottest person in school. I would have loved to known some of the guys and girls at my high school, if they weren't just lame dipsh*ts. NONE of them looked good either, all ugly girls who thought they were brittney. Then the girl I liked got influenced by them and turned... ug that wasn't fun.
3. Spanish gas pumps. How the hell should I know what the hell it's telling me what to do in another language? What the f*ck is this? It's not like I'm in another country than I was born. Everyday I feel like I'm not at home and it makes my ass want to go back in Europe where conditions are worse and the situations are better behaved. Bewildering.
4. Nobody speaks english!!! At least learn the language. It's certainly not going to help if everything is written out for them from Government forms to Newspapers.
5. People having kids when they cannot afford them. What the f*ck you doing, you knew the consequence so now the government (tax payers) have to pay some horny ass couple without money?
6. Apology for slavery. Slavery already existed in Africa since before the word appologize was even created. Who's to appologize for Hitler and his mass slaughter? Not even that, you read up on tons of f*cked up wars that happened not only in America but the world, Asia, Russia, f*cking Napoleon, Rome, Greece, Yugoslavia, Tribal wars, Civilizations? What, those happened too far back to appologize? Nobody now was even alive back then? Hell, they probably don't even know anything about the past.
7. Katrina disaster. They were warned like everyone is always warned. Just because it didn't happen before doesn't mean it will happen again. Sure it might not be the peoples fault, but their sh*tty b**** ass Mayor not securing the obviously immobile public with ground transport. Anyone smart enough to run a chuge city should know not everyone will get out, at least fund some Greyhound/School busses to haul them to safety? Duuuuhhhh... Instead, "go to the pool--i mean stadium b****es".
8. Probably not Bush himself, but his office as well as the government is screw up in the butt. Talk about price gauging before elections. Those bastards must have earned magnified profits.
9. People who don't believe in global warming. quote from fox news channel: "some scientists believe Mt. Kilimanjaro is melting" duuuuuh, no it's actually quite fine infact Happy Feet just got his new pad.
10. Hillary Clinton (she's likely to be b****y when you turn around)

hm... I'm pondering whether or not this should be locked. I'll allow you to vent, but I don't want this to become a racial / cultural / political fiasco.
Just to comment, I'm definitely not an expert on Global Warming. However, I have heard speeches and read articles both for and against the Global Warming debate. There is evidence that the earth's season are cyclical, and it's undetermined as to how long these cycles last. We haven't been recording and analyzing the cycles long enough to be able to accurately determine future patterns.
I'm not saying we don't have an immediate problem, or that Global Warming is a joke, or that it's serious and curremt. I don't know, I'm not an expert.
I personally don't think we have enough information to accurately predict the future, but I do think we can look at the effects of what's going on right now and agree that it's not good.
Also, I find it freakin' hilarious that the scientists flip out when the report says, "By the year 2100 the oceans will rise 7 inches"
By the year 2100, burning fossil fuels to power vehicles probably won't be something anyone would remember. The world changes too much in 100 years to assume that the factors of today are going to a certain effect on the world.

Thanks you three. I know this isn't the place to talk about it, but it's difficult for anyone that's not in a big city to know what's coming and believe me it is. All I believe is that we have sooo many of our own problems yet the government is so concerned over what's going on the other side of the planet, and for what?
...and coming from a mod (yours truly) it seems like it shouldn't even have been stated in the first place. I understand everyone here is sick and tired of hearing, writing about this stuff daily. It's like seeing ads in a public bathroom. 'Tis why I just tune out of politics, I don't want to hear another dime because I as one can't change a thing and complaining is the best I as one can do but that just makes things worse. I'm no longer speaking from my mind, just from experience. Sure countries have it worse and sometimes I do take this freedom forgranted, but we really have some big problems here. It's no joke either, there are people here walking right next to you that could take your prescious life away with one movement in trade for your pockets.
1 year, 3 years, 20 years, I'll still be puzzled at the gas pump.
You're right about it becoming some pointless opinionated conversation, and yes it feels very good to just say the things you want to say. I'm no analyst, but I do have predictions, and at this point I really don't think America is going to be in a good place soon on, faster than anybody thinks. That is my concern.
I do complain a lot, but that's because I drive to Florida a lot.

Wow man, maybe the order should be switched around a bit but other then that, those are prolly my top ten as well. Its ashame they arent many others who can agree, part of the reason why theres so many things wrong with society ...
he's extra pissed. wink1.gif
and dude, you gotta stop dwelling on the past and look ahead. chances are you wont see that girl again, and you're going to have to start talking to other ones because you will seriously go crazy thinking about it. have you ever not been able to sleep because of it? i've been through all that, used to be the same way, waiting for the particular girl. i had her too, but i let it slip away. hung out with her for an entire week during our senior trip in vermont, it was great. then i remember just seeing her boyfriend's car there to pick her up when we got back. i know she wanted to end it with him, partly because they were constantly fighting, and partly because of me(had a pretty good idea she had feelings for me and a couple of her friends ended up telling me), but i hesitated. i made up all these excuses to why i never did anything, didnt want to intrude on a relationship or whatever, but point is, i was being a little girl. i still think something good would have come out of it, and while there is still a chance(still hang around the same people sorta) but you absolutely cannot dwell on missed opportunities because they will eat at your soul. i have changed a bunch from that point...i definitely act on my feelings more and while it has caused a couple extra negatives(never really had a steady girlfriend when i wish some things would have matured into it), it has absolutely yielded some really good times. not just the occasional one night stand, but just getting out and going to cool places and doing cool things.
next time a girl catches your eye just make some small talk with her. doesnt matter where it is say something. you never know, in 10 years you could be waking up next to her with little hkcs jumping around on the bed.
everything else you are right about, to make a change in those you have to devote your entire life to the cause. to fix this part all you need is to say "hello" though.

^^ agreed to a point, considering how females today seem to just whore themselves randomly around as many guys as possible all while getting wasted and high... Maybe he has a thing trying to preserve someone who was seemingly normal. Its a real shame how society is today.
This is all stemming from a girl? Whoa, serious feelings
My Story:
Summer between my Junior and Senior year of high school, I was hanging out alot, not working, going to tanning beds and eating out with friends all the time wasting the money I had made working my butt off (bank account dried up quickly). I would go to the tanning bed every morning, and go to TCBY next door after I tanned. I'd take it back to the tanning place and talk to the girl I knew that worked there. At TCBY, I met Lindsay (I was htting up TCBY like twice a day at this point). I had a high school type "crush" on her and knew girls she worked with, but never did anything. A few months later I went on a 2 week trip to Europe with people from school. 3 girls on that trip worked at the TCBY with Lindsay; on the last night of the trip, we were in Scotland and everyone was drunk, hanging out at a local club. The girls started talking to me about Lindsay (I didn't even know that was her name til that night) and how I should go out with her. Ya know, stupid little high school talk.
Well, after we got back to the U.S. I eventually wound up at TCBY. Lindsay actually took the first step and gave me her phone number. We started going out after that. That was nearly 7 years ago. We're married now. It's a huge, uneasy feeling to imagine had she never given me her phone number, there's no telling where I'd be today. 95% of the decisions I've made in my life over the last 6 years were based on her and the situation.
I wouldn't have the job I have today, because I wouldn't have transferred to the university I transferred to, and I wouldn't have had my 2nd major, which means I would probably be working somewhere else doing something I wouldn't like. I wouldn't have a wonderful house, my wonderful wife, and so many good things going right in my life. 7 years ago when I met her I never dreamed I'd be married to her, hell, when I was 17 I never had any intentions of ever getting married.
Every moment is an opportunity. Reading over tibby01's post, had I not taken the opportunity, I wouldn't be nearly as happy as I am today. I don't know specifics about your situation, but if it wasn't meant to be and you couldn't spend the rest of your life with her, why waste time trying? A relationship shouldn't be something you have to work at to make it work. If I was forced to do it again, I wouldn't have a relationship with anybody I couldn't see spending the rest of my life with, and it'd have to be a mutual feeling between both parties. My friend was madly in love with his girl, but she just couldn't see them together forever. It hurts, but a marriage can't last that way.
