so im driving down the road and i pull off from a stop life and my car starts to sput.........i thought well maybe the filter was clogged.....it only got worse. started sounding like a damn lawn mower and when the engine idled it would bounce and even knock on my hood.........well engine like came on(like I had the damn money for it) well i went n got it checked out......turned out i needed new plugs n wires......called the dealership to see if i had warrenty on it...well i didnt and i was like well how much would it cost to just put on plugs and wires(not get plugs and wires and install.......JUST INSTALL) and they told me roughly $260............youve gotta be kidding me.

In the end

50 bucks + 10 mins = new plugs n wires and my car running even better then before............dealerships suck

If you think that dealerships make money off of selling cars, you are badly mistaken. Most of their income comes from the service bays. Ripping people off almost $300 for $50 in parts and half an hour of time is how they do it.

My local Hyundai wanted $590 to change a timing belt.

I could replace the engine for less.

What brand of Spark plugs and wires did you buy?

My engine died while using aftermarket spark plug wires. I learned my lesson. After using OEM wires, my car is doing fine now.....

I think Hyundai is on to something mad.gif

By the way Pandy: You look like Eminem in your avatar.

I was at a nissan dealer with a friend and i overheard a tech talking to a customer on the phone.

They were replacing part of the frame that is under recall and he offered to do a brake job at a "severely discounted price" since the wheels were off and hub was already torn apart.

The discounted price was 380 bucks, i said "wow! i wonder what the regular price was!"

They also tried to tell my friend that a maf sensor would cost 500 bux because it wasnt covered under warranty because he had an amp installed, and installing it was an hour or two of labor.

I straightened him out and my friend walked out of there with the maf sensor installed for free wink1.gif

take the sneakiness of a ninja
the craftiness of mcguivre
the saavyness of james bond
the coolness of shaft
the bad-assedness of chuck norris
and the power of conan the destroyer

and you might be able to almost match the awesomeness that is the tibby01. i cannot be contained. cool.gif
