Rear Speaker Covers
I have had alot of trouble keeping these damn things from rattling. I checked the clips and tabs on them and theyre all fine. I have Pioneer 4-way 420W 6x9's behind there and I cant enjoy the sound of the speakers when every *thump* is accompanied by an annoying rattle. I got so fed up Ive just removed the covers and am riding without them on but I hate the way it looks. Any suggestions on how to quiet up the rattle? (And no I dont mean stuff like "Turn your music down" lol smile.gif )
Heres the housing without the covers (I dont see anything broken)

I had the same problem. I have Audiobahn 6x9s back there and they are amped. The covers rattled like crazy. What I did was I soundproofed the whole car and made sure the speaker was in nice and tight. I also put just a little bit of silicone on the clips and put it in there. Hasnt been a problem although I havent driven the car yet. But I can crank it up and the speakers sound amazing without the rattle
I had the same problem before. What I did was I recovered the cover with a different fabric I went to good old wally world(WAL-MART) and got some red fabric tom match other stuff in my car and peeled the old stuff off and hot glue gunned new fabric on leaving a lil excess so when I put the cover back on I took a really small flathead screwdriver and worrked the excess in and it keeps it tight as hell and no more rattles...May work for you it did for me wink1.gif I'll see if I have some pics around and put em up so you can see it looks factory

put some weather stripping between the speaker and the metal. usually a piece comes with the speakers, but if not, you can buy some double sticky mounting tape at radioshack
