About a week ago that top stud on my shifter stripped itself out! Now the bottom piece with the ball on it stripped itself out! I replaced the top one with a long bolt, and I know I cant do anything for the bottom becuase of the little ball! My Megan STS is falling apart on me! I bought it from Chris but I know he probably cant do anything about it. Im just letting yall know whats going on. If you have bought one hope it doesnt fall apart on you like it has me. I will probably have to go back to stock now!! mad.gif

Ordered on Feb. 18th. Got it like two weeks later. So like 3 and a half months.

Mine has been installed for a week now, not one single issue.

I'd suggest you call Megan Racing and complain. Don't mention who you bought it through so FlyRyde doesn't get hurt by it, but tell them it's stripping on both ends and you want to send it in for a new one or something... or simply complain about it and suggest the fix the problem before they get more complaints. Might wanna also drop the fact that a forum you're a member of has several people who recently purchased one, and you hope theirs aren't as horrible in quality as yours was.

I would do this with the intention of trying to push them to make better quality products, not to get a refund or anything cuz that probably won't happen. Just bust their balls a little bit so they'll pay more attention to quality in the future.

I also wouldn't talk to whoever answers the phone; they couldn't care less about your complaint and probably wouldn't pass it on. They'd just listen to you and let you go. Ask to speak to somebody in-charge (i.e., manager) about a product complaint.

My friend has a Megan short throw shifter on his car, and has no problems with it.

Honestly, to me, it sounds like when you put it together you overtightened everything. Then through normal usage, it stripped.

I might be able to get a new one. We'll see. But yeah, if you want customer service bring it up with me, cause Megan wont help I doubt. Just chew em out to make yourself feel better. smile.gif
