Ok on Tuesday May 2, 2006...After from coming from phyiscal training (I'm in the Navy)...I prepared to go out to sea for about a couple of days. Usually I have my wife take me on Base and I leave my car out home, but because I did not know when the ship will pull back in port, I drove myself to work. So after pulling back into my home port in Norfolk, VA...i had to take the trash to the dumpster. After doing that I was about 20 feet away from my car and guess what i noticed... mad.gif

I just got my front end fix in November 2005 because of an accident. So call base police and file a report...then I call my insurance company (USAA)...Lucky I have on my policy Virginia uninsured motorists so it will cost me $200.00. But this happens alot on base...but I may be able to get my money back...So we shall see...military don't got no money!!! I will post pictures when I get it fixed.

Oooh that sucks arse man! but as long as you're covered by insurance it should be fine... and it's not that bad! i've seen worse, infact i've had worse.

once i left my keys with my sister when i was going to florida. i was leaving my car and taking my parents elantra instead. when i came back, the car was parked differently (ok no big deal so she took it for a spin) and i went inside after driving 16 hours non-stop. exhausted, i went outside to check the car. fire it up and WHAAA?! the car started but was only firing on 3 cylinders and shook reallly really badly! so i go outside and to the front. notice a huge gash in the front drivers side. fender mashed suspension gone light gone... i was like good god WTF!?!

my sister told me that she parked it on the street and the next morning after the trash was picked up it was like that. a garbage truck must have hit it or something... not only was i furious, but i didn't believe a word of it because it didn't look like any truck or car hit it. the paint was all sill here. and i asked her why the hell she would have left it overnight on the street!

few weeks later after much worrying and anger, her boyfriend calls me to tell me that he took my car out drunk and thought it would be funny to hit a trashcan. little did he know the trashcan was full. LUCKY for him i'm not an angry person. he didn't even offer to pay to fix it. he also messed up my sunroof, its croooked. crawled up top and elbowed he hell out of my roof, dents which are still there.

week after the mystery was solved, my sister had an accident in the snow. her tiburon slid and hit a pole, creamed the front end. then my mechanic in VA was nice enough to fix both cars for one price. but a messed up story that was... and my car isn't as new as it was because of that and drinking.

Always park your car far enough but out of the way and close enough in between other cars. Never leave your keys to anyone, maybe mom and dad but never a sibling.

well being that its on base you have better chances of finding out who it was

just look for damage about the same height as where the damage to your car was not everyone can get on base you know so its probably someone in your complex

I'm frightened as to what I would do if I caught someone hitting my car or messing with it.

Seriously, I am actually frightened that we could be talking about a murder case 02.gif

I'm very hot tempered and I love my car, I also hate people that refuse to accept their responsibility in life and fess up when they have made a mistake.

My car was 'tapped' by another car at work the other night... it has a *tiny* little scratch in the rear bumper but I am still absolutely fuming.

Why? because there is *NO WAY* on earth that whoever hit it didnt know, my clifford alarm beeps REALLY loudly when you knock the car first, second time it goes into all out panic mode and goes off.

So how would you not know about it?

Then 2 nights ago (and I felt really bad even though I dont like the guy much) a guy whom I work with came out to find that his 2006 ford fusion (yeah yeah not my choice of car either) had a REALLY bad mark on the rear bumper that had scratched all the way down to the black plastic underneath.

Oddly enough a new member of staff who had been there a couple of days no showed and never came in again after that night....hmm !

People who smack into other cars and drive away need to be pimp slapped until blood drips from the pores of their skin.. Im serious.. not only do I now have to touch up a scratch on my rear bumper BUT I also have to buff out serious marks on my wife's 05 malibu LT because someone has hit her car TWICE and not reported it.

The last one I could have cried for her, there's a partial print of a license plate in her rear bumper 02.gif

how could someone NOT f***ing know they did that?

Death to all drive away people that cant drive I say. drillsergeant.gif
