Well I sold a dvd player on ebay a couple weeks ago for around 140$. Packaged the thing damn good too, bubble wrap and the works. The buyer did not choose to buy insurance, but just to be nice I put insurance for 100$ for the package and it was shipped Canada Post.

Now, he just emailed me yesterday with a picture of it damaged. Mind you in the picture you can't see anything its so blurry because he used his phone. I emailed him back telling him that you chose not to insure the package PLUS I was nice enough to ensure it for 100$ anyways. I told him to resolve the problem with Canada Post because once it leaves me it's their responsibility.

How do I know the guy didn't take a hammer to it and is blamming me? Stupid BS.

Tonight, I recieved an email from paypal saying that there is a dispute blah blah and they are retracting the money until it's resolved. WTF.

What am I suppose to do when he doesnt choose insurance, than I actually insure it for at least 100$, than CanadaPost handles it from there.

that really sucks. so it's probably your word against his unless you've got pictures of it before it was sent, or from the auction. even then i wonder how it will be resolved?

 

just show paypal that he didn't buy insurance, and that should resolve the problem, no?

or perhaps your previous transactions with other buyers on e-bay should speak of your reputation...

Yup, show proof of payment for the type of shipping, and a link to your Ebay reputation.

 

The thing is, I only had 250 characters to write in the box LOL. I couldn't write much. I leave for Europe tomorrow, and this needs to be resolved by than.

Also, the package was recieved on the 23, and now he chooses to do this?

He probably broke it while installing it. This is BS.

 

Mail a bomb to his house. but it should be easy enough to solve the disupte and this is also why I take any money in my paypal account and immediately trasnfer it to my bank account. if you took a pic of the item before you sold it maybe you can use that to prove the item was undamaged prior to shipping. and tell the dingle berry that camera phones are not a realible source of photgraphy.
