so you know..been a pretty good day...coming out of school, well i see one of my friends is prolly gonna pull out in front of me so i stop...well they give me the go ahead nod, so i start accelerating...oh wait..im still looking at my friend..and wouldnt you know someone ahead of me had stopped? so..i slide under their blazer...they're A-okay...but the Tib has 2 dents in the top of the hood, the bottom front of the hood is smashed a lil, , my passenger side headlights are pushed back into the car so theres a gap at the bottom, and i busted my passenger side corner..oh joy...i gather i'll need a new hood...and the front will have a few minor things to fix i think..but could anyone give me a halfway rough estimate on what im lookin at for a new hood and minor front end damage? oh and a new corner...i know this was stupid and totally my fault but..i had to rant somwhere

Get a set of clear corners from Kspec.com $69 shipped.

I'd make sure the headlights aren't cracked.

How is the bumper? fenders?

The best thing to do at a time like this is upgrade with aftermarket parts. Get clear corners from KSpec, and get the Cadamuro hood from FlyRyde smile.gif

It may be hard to get new headlights at a good price..if you find they're busted too, post at the KSpec forums, and post a WTB here and you can usually get them for pretty cheap. Just don't go to a dealer/shop.

Sorry, for your estimate..

Corners - $70
Passenger headlight - $125
Hood - $300 + maybe $150 to paint it http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=11712

for the most part as i can tell the bumper and fenders are fine...its mostly the upper part of the front because of me going under..the face part though like that plastic that is in front of the headlights is a little tiny bit bent, and when you open the hood the front metal like very front where it gives engine tuneup requirements or w/e the passenger side of that is raised up slightly..thats the only metal i i think is bent at all

problem is guys...im not much of a handyman..and have never done any auto work myself..so im not real comfortable w/ all this..i dunno what to do

Headlights are a cheap and easy fix, and is a great time to upgrade to clear corners.

The hood is more expensive, but gives you an excuse to get a cool hood like the Cadamuro or something.

uprgrading may be a good idea...i've lookee at carbonfiber, but i dont think i like the look of it with black. If indeed i have to get new corners, i will go with clear. as far as headlights and the actual cost of hood, etc, my dad knows a guy who does work so he's getting a rough estimate from him and he's hoping he can maybe find a hood already painted to save the cost of painting it. I know bodyshop repair will be expensive, but im hoping it will be considerably lower because they are friends...i'll keep everyone updated, and any other advice or suggestions are highly appreciated.

as for insurance, my mother didnt want to get full coverage because it would, of course, cost considerably more...regretting that one now...
