Windshield!

well my windshield is cracked in 2 places! Where do u guys thing would b the best course of action? anyone ever had to replace on? i have no clue were to start... thanks

some tape on the cracks and wherever the center point is to stop it from spreading...then get a new one

got mine replaced for free by my insurance company and i have liability + comp.

check with them to see their policy

I had 1 crack, I went to a shop and they repaired it.
They drilled small hole on the center of the hit (only in the 1 layer of the glass) and then they used special glass glue (I think), after drying and cleaning it's almost unnoticable.

Put a piece of electrical tape at the ends, it will stop it/slow it down. Just don't press on the area where the crack is or it might spread further.

Mine is cracked right now.. a dump truck flipped a rock up and hit me right at the bottom of the windshield. I didn't think much of it until like a day later..and it was clear up the windshield sad.gif definately going to need replacing asap.

If your insurance does not cover it, and you dont mind doing your own...
Look in your local junk yards. Use a piano wire or something like to to cut through the window adhesive. Buy a new strip of window adheasive and put the new one in.
