No More Email From The "admin's"/board

Okay, I kept my mouth shut when you guys signed onto the "NOPI" bandwagon and gave them a subforum and such. But the latest spam you guys sent out about NOPI was the last straw. I've now disabled the ability for the board admin's to email me.
That email was just plain spam/advertizing/pimping for NOPI's show.
The NOPI Nat's may be the biggest show of the year, but it's still just ONE SHOW. A mostly regional show (from southeast/east, and a few from central/north central). So why spam the whole board membership?
I don't see you guys doing the same for KSPEC or any of the other companies. Doing it for NOPI is just wrong (like they NEED the help?).
I just lost respect for you guys. I thought/expected better. I was wrong. mad.gif

there was a nopi neswsletter/spam e-mail? maybe they're just pickin' on you Random. i only got the one way back to encourage inactive members to return.

That email was a requirement by NOPI for us to have a booth there. I know that it is only one show. In all of the three years we have been online that is only the second email we have sent to all the members. Sorry that it inconvenienced you, there is a link at the bottom to opt out of these type of messages. If you did that you will no longer receive them.

Yeah, I don't see how one email constitutes anyting bad. It was a requirement in order for us to have the free space at Nopi. It is for any site getting in there.
If that email really bothered anyone else, contact me and I'll make sure you are opted out of further emails.
Please do so ASAP as, as I stated in my Site Update Email that everyone got last month, I will be doing one quarterly.

I understand Tony's concern, but at the same time, there's good reason for it and it's for the betterment of the website. We're doing it in return for some very precious adveritsing space at NOPI Nationals. You shouldn't be getting too many e-mails like this from the website, unless other members are bombarding you with them. I wouldn't let this one e-mail bother you too much. I see room for understanding why it was sent.
