SR BBK

I know Shark Racing SUCKS so dont waste anyone's time and reiterate that!! And I know I only stand a 50% chance of actually receiving this, but Im looking to do a Captive -> Non Captive Swap anyway, so this is probably the best time to do a BBK upgrade.

Any other ideas?

P.S. I read the post about Dennis BBK but Im not sure if its in the same price range or more importantly, even available?

this is the deal with those. they are stock cast iron calipers. along with 1 peice rotors, you will be adding about 15 pounds to each corner of your car. that is unsprung weight as well, which is ten times, literally, lore important than just adding regular weight to your car. add it all up, and it will be just like adding 600lbs. to your car.

REAL BBK used billet aluminum(sometimes forged) for their calipers, and use a 2-peice rotor design with an aluminum rotor hat. you actually lose weight when putting on a real bbk, while increasing stopping power. thats usually why they are so expensive, and quite worth it IMO. you get the best of both worlds.

But does anyone make a kit like that for our cars? There doesn't seem to be many options out there

Kspec.com sells the calipers, and you can get the rotors in the US for a decent price. As for weight, I have no clue.

how about the rotors from flyryde.com? cuz i was thinking of grabbing the 2 piston front calipers from kspec and the full set of drilled/slotted rotors from flyryde. would that work out well?

You can get 11 inch Sonata calipers and they will fit. Look thru the site, it's been posted a few times.
