What is everyones opinion on THE BEST wheels available to be put on an RD Tib? Looks mean nothing! If possible post rim size, and weight. A link to it would also be great.

Konig Traffik's, 16's.

Good luck finding them.

13 pounds.

Go for 15 or 16 inch rims. Stay under 15 to 16 pounds respectively, you'll be happy.

Right now the Wedssport they are selling at Tirerack, but they are too expensive. They are 17"x7" and their weight is only 14,5lb (for a 17" it's good). I'd prefer to get them in 16" if they had them, but it seems many manufacturers only make 17" for our cars (damn ricers are to blame!)
There are also the OZ Superleggeras but they are available only in 17" also.

The rims I would put if I had the money are either:
15"x7" SSR Type C (9,7 lb)
or
15"x7" Volk Racing TE37 (10,3 lb)

If by "best" you mean lightest, I'd say pick from this list, all 15" wheels, all under 10lbs !!!:

Racing Hart CP-035
SSR Type-C
Volk CE28N
Volk TE37

If you want THE BEST, don't go for cast rims like those cheapo konig's fing02.gif

If you want THE BEST (for the money), that's debatable. What's your budget for wheels?

Hey, he drives a Hyundai, they HAVE to be cheap rims.

LOL

BTW, I've been driving on my Traffiks for well over a year and haven't had one incident with them, very high quality, very light for the size.

Yes, if you have the money for them, get some even better quality LIGHTER rims if you can.

I'd assume his budget isn't high since he wants to CUT HIS SPRINGS.

I like ROJA, and thats why I got the LT5s (Pictures soon).

While they're nowhere as reputed as some of the better brands listed, they weigh <14lbs in 17 inch guise.

L5s aren't forged and will bend if you ram them onto a curb at speeds. If you're a curb rammer, get the forged rims they make.

Superleggara's are nice, strong rims but I've seen them bend in Chicago just like other cast wheels.

If money isn't a problem, nothing is as immortal as the TE-37s. Perfect rims.

the whole spring cutting things was just a thought, was thinking about getting the eibachs on ebay either way. Now the thing on the wheels is that price is a concern BUT considering the fact that wheels and rubber on a car make more of a difference than almost ANY mod, it doesnt have to be too cheap (i still have alot more to do though so dont gimme some crazy priced wheels). The amount of rotational mass on a low powered car, makes a huge difference, as do slicks during a 1/4mile time. Ryte?
