OK just went to lunch and it seems like everyday I have to get to a red light and get beside a wannabe with a Cavalier, Civic or something to that effect that wants to race and when they rev up the motor they sound like a ticked off weeseater. Is it just me or does this annoy anyone else or is it just me?????

 

this is the reason i wont put a grapefruit launching 8" outlet civic "TYPE R" muffler on my car. those exhausts lack the function of being quiet and excel in being obnoxious. to top it off, cops love those exhausts because they are easily heard and that means easily follow'able. they sound like pissed off bumble bees' to me. lmao.gif

i think im gonna get a "Slow & Somewhat Angered" drop for my friends eclipse for his birthday...just because his fav movie is Fast & Furious.

The other day I had a girl in a neon try and race me. I pulled up next to her at a light, I saw her look over.. and then I heard her drop her autotranny down into low. When the light changed, she took off.. but I was able to keep up with out even trying. I think I was at half throttle and driving normally and she was barely pulling away.

I think it is the time of year.. everyone is on edge with the heat.

Everyone's caught the "I must put a coffee can on the muffler of my sport compact" disease.....hope its not contagious..doesn't matter..I've been vaccinated! fing02.gif

 

It seems like everyone I ever see (with the exception of the smart ones on this site) thinks that putting a weedwhacker coffee can on their car makes it better. I'm sorry, but I cannot STAND that loud noise. It's so... gawdy.

 

Just last night a late 80s civic with an unpainted, ill-fitting body kit pulled up beside me. The driver thought he was hot sh*t. The massive exhaust tip made a noise like a violent wet fart as he revved at me. I had to laugh. I revelled in the deep, smooth and SUBTLE growl of my own exhaust as I pulled away.

 

I get it all the time here!! i know what they are doing,, i just keep looking ahead and shake my head. They get real pissed at that! Its about that point they realize their car is pathetic and take off home to cry i think.

 

I guess it's the same everywhere..someone gets a can added to their exhaust and they think their car can haul arse.

 

I just got my flexpipe replaced.. no more weedeater tib for me.

What was funny. I was sitting in the waiting room and I thought I heard them pull my tib out.. so I turned around to look out the window.. it was a badly primered Accord with a HUGE fart can on the back pulling away from the light...
