So, I got those Ro_Ja LT5s and they are beautiful. Really nice rims. So light for 17 inchers. Problem is our good ol' captive setup.

So, Im left with only a few options:

1. Widen the 4X100 holes and machine the bolts to fit (Could work because I can see the bolts through the 4X100 holes ...they just dont fit completely in)

2. Use a Spacer (I have no clue which one to get)

3. Swap the assembly (Least favorite and least likely as I have no bling bling)

Any suggestions? I really want those rims on the car.

measure how long are the bolts' heads. I think 3mm spacer should work. (BTW OdessitPashka, as far as I remember sells them click here)

I wouldn't bore your rims, cause you may make them weaker. The best way - captive - to non captive swap, but it's pricey.

I would choose spacers.

The best way to solve this is to machine the hub and replace the 4x100-patterned bolts with cone-shaped bolts that will fit flush with the surface of the hub.

You won't modify your mags (keep them universal), you won't put spacers and no costy swap.

That's what we did with the Accent (well, paid someone to wink1.gif )

Could you explain what you meant by "machine the hub"?

I never though of replacing the bolts. Where would I get these?

I CANT DO THE SWAP!!!! worried.gif

I'm no expert, but I guess it's for the cone-shaped bolts to fit in the hub holes.. you gotta give the holes the cone-shape so everythings align correctly.

^^^ but that way you probably need to press wheel bearings out then unscrew brake rotor, machine hub, use new bolts, attach rotor and press NEW bearings. Right?

Measure how thick those captive bolts are and get a spacer according to their size, if something doesn't fit just drill the spacer smile.gif
