Hey Everyone

Right now I am in a predictament where I am trying to figure out what I should do about the suspension on my car. I talked about this in one of my last posts but now I am making it more specific. For those that don't know the problem when I had my 1.8" springs on my front the wheels would rub in the wheel well. They didn't do this when I got them but after putting new tires on it became noticeable. So right now I put the stock springs back so I won't mess the new tires up.

Here are my two options:

-Install KYB Shocks on the front and then put the 1.8" drop springs back on and see if the problem persists.

-Install new 1.3" Eibach springs on the front and rear and not have to worry about the problem because the car won't be as low.

The question is if I install the shocks and then the problem persists I will eventually have to have the eibach springs installed so the shocks were never really needed and I am down about $150 plus labor.

Let me know what you guys think is the best situation. I have been riding with my stock springs in the front and my 1.8" drop in the back for about a month now with my new Kumho's installed. I don't want to go much longer with this situation especially since I am waiting to have the car aligned once everything is evened out and I don't want to wear down the new tires too much by not having the alignment.

Thanks for your help in advance guys

-Jason

New shocks will not eliminate the problem, Eibach springs will. But you need new shocks! If your car has over 40k mi on it, replace the shocks!!!

if your struts are shot... replace them

fixed the damaged goods..

you might want to get the eibach strut and spring combo. Blktibs has a hell of a deal for them..

Get a hold of him.. cause hes ending that GB REAL soon.

You could always make up some of the money selling your old springs

I'd bet my pet monkey your shocks are dead and thats why your rubbing inside the fender. However, I dunno if the AGX's from KYB are going to be enough for 1.8" drop... I know the GR-IIs aren't. I'd hate to have you have to replace them again in a year or two.

IMHO
Get on the GB that BlackTibs's got going.
You won't get any better for Eibachs

It's not big drop, but it's nice.
Unless you're going for a slammed Look.
1.8" springs you have now, are they Intrax springs?

intrax are over 2". It looks amazing, but PITA to take sharp turns and drive through high speed bumps!
