Three Strikes
Ok, let me start by saying that my Tibby is my 4th car and before the Tibby, I have never been in a wreck, not even a small fender bender. Since I got the Tib in March '04, I it has been wrecked three times now.
1. I had the car for about a total of three weeks when I was driving down a city street and some lady backed out of her driveway into me. The passenger door and rear bumper were fixed, the quarter pannel and side skirt were replaced. The repair totaled $4,000; paid by her insurance of course.
2. This January I was driving home from work and a deer ran out in front of me. My insurance company cut me a check for $3500. I decided to fix the car myself. I fixed the radiator support and fender, got a CF hood, and I was waiting on my Ixion body kit and paint to complete the job.
Now I have a pretty good chance of getting into a pretty sweet, nationaly known car club when I get my body kit on. My car would be considered show ready.
3. I am sitting here in my room on RDtib, and I hear this loud bang followed by a "DAAAAAN". I go out side and I am so pissed I can't even see straight! My sister backed her Lumina into my car. My clear corner is shattered, the bumper is on the ground. The fender (that I just replaced) is crumpled, the headlight is broken, and the radiator support is bent to hell again.
Man I am so ticked off right now. First show of the season is April 16th. I don't see my car being ready by then, but I can only hope. The only good thing that I see coming out of this is that I didn't have my kit on yet. Btw, I have no idea where it is.
I just needed to vent, thanks for listening.

Heh, story of my life. I had an accident, then the car got fixed, then it got hit again, then fixed again, and finally totalled. Right when it was finally in its prime. But you just gotta deal and keep going forward. Make her pay for new parts and everything. Just dont let bad luck get you down.
Pfft... women drivers. I think they get into more fender benders than guys, but when we wreck we wreck it completely, hence the higher insurance. Well thats my theory. That and they drive big passenger cars and SUVs usually that get hit and don't take a dent.
I've been there dude. How hard did she back into you though? Damn... I rear-ended an STi @ 25mph because of some silly truck driver and the STi's humongous brake upgrade. I only cracked the clear coat in one spot on my bumper, and a few little scratches. Guess I got lucky...?

Thanks, I know that you have had some hard times and I know that both of out Tibby's will rule again.

Yeah, even though it was my sister, I told her that if she didn't call her insurance company, I would call the cops.
One of the worst parts, I can fix her car with a buffer and some detail paint....damn domestics with real bumpers.
I don't know how fast she was going. I was about 20' behind her when I parked.

Is the hood ok? Because look at it this way....you've got the bodykit which has the new front bumper, and the hood is probably ok, so all you'll need is a fender, clear corner, radiator support, and headlight.
I mean, it could be worse. But you should be able to fix it pretty easily. Hardest part will be the radiator support.

Yeah, the hood is ok.
I am not going to mess with the repair myself again. I need a fast turn around on this to start the show season. I am just going to have my car towed to a shop with my body kit and tell them to have at it, and bill me for whatever is left over.

Yep... they drive them super-reinforced cars that only take a little bit to fix. Hell, if she rear-ended you in a parking lot she would've just driven away and paid someone $100 to fix it, while your stuck with hundreds in damage. Thats happened to me as well... thats how evil women are with their big vehicles. Them and old people with their Oldsmobiles.

On the semi-bright side, get her insurance to pay you for the bumper, corners, etc. and then just slap on your bodykit. Hopefully the C/F hood held up, they usually do O.K in fender-benders.
