Normally I'd blame it on my bad driving skills, but I feel I shifted very well...
So I was at this stoplight right, tryin to keep my RPM's about 1500-2000 so it's easier to take off form the green light, when this stang pulls up to my left.
Apparently he wanted to race, so I ignored him knowing i'd get my ass beat.
Well, light turned green, I thought maybe I should pretend my car died, but I raced anyway. I got beat by 1 and a half car lengths-ish..
Damn..
Well you know what this means..

I dont know what he had. I think it might of been a v6. It wasn't an 05 is all I know. I didn't look at him because I didn't want to race, so I have no clue what it was..
It was also at night, it was harder to tell.

he never said it was a V6.

If it were a V8, then you deifnelty wouldnt win. Even a V6, you would need a good amount of mods to beat it. I doubt you could do it stock, unles the other guy didnt know how to drive.

 

I guess my luck crapped out, cuz he was an ok driver..lol

I meant that I dont think you'd be able to beat him with just an intake and exhaust. Maybe, who knows. Ive never raced a mustang so I have no idea.

 

I said "at the track" because Redz and the others get all uppity about street racing. RDTiburon as a whole doesn't condone it.

Tibbychick, a V8 would've raped him. I don't think any Tib here is going to pull to within 1.5 carlengths on a V8, maybe JonGTR and a few others. They run 13.5-14.0 stock quarter. Its common sense it wasn't a V8, unless he was driving normal and he thought he was racing. tongue.gif LOL

Onto V6s. They suck. I've beaten auto V6s with I/E by a carlength or two. They are weak, mainly because the gearing on the autos (not as bad in manuals, but still weak) is horrible.

Horsepower isn't everything. Gearing plays a huge role in how fast you can go. Tibs gearing is relatively aggressive. V6 Mustangs are economy cars for people who wanted a Mustang but not the V8's gas mileage.

EDIT: If you have an auto Tib, then you did about average. I would expect auto vs auto to be in favor of the Mustang a carlength, and an auto vs manual to be two carlengths or three for the Mustang.

Lol ive raced an SVT, its not a smart idea, lol, i was no where near being half a cars lenth, hell, i dont think ANY tib on our site would be able to be anywhere close, not even JohnGTR, maybe taht drag racing one in Korea the 1000HP one but besides that no way in hell, i mean, that thing flew off like far far far down, i saw him on the damn horizon lol. lol my next chalenge is finding a <u>Mustang Cobra SVT R </u>and racing that little son of a gun. Thats even faster then the normal SVT's.
