205-55-15's
ok newb question, but i was told to ask around by my uncle before tossing these on (I won't myself, just bying them)
What kind of things can i see with getting a little bit bigger tires? I have 195-55-15's right now.. I know my Speedo will be a little slow, which is fine because its a little high right now (like 1mph or so) so thats alright, but I was told there could be a bunch of other problems and im just curious what i might see so i know ahead of time.. :-D
Thanks for the responses in advance.. ya'll are always so helpful smile.gif
Edit: its a 2000 tib, bone stock :x

That will still only affect the speedo which has already been stated to not be an issue.
Other than the speedo being off you MIGHT have some rubbing issues when you turn hard or hit a bump. Really not a big deal cause you've got so much rubber on there but I wouldn't risk it.
Why must you go bigger?? Sale at the tire shop or something?? wink1.gif

im running 205's on my tibby, and could easily run 215's with no issues
yes.. the first number is the section width of the tire.. how wide the tread is in Millimetres.. The second number is the aspect ration.. how tall the sidewall is in COMPARISON to the section width. The third number, of course, is rim diametre.
so.. a 205/50/15 would be:
205 mm across at the great with the sidewall HALF that at 102.5 and it would be running on a 15 inch rim.
