Debate: Coils or Springs
This Topic, has been on my mind since I got my 99se Tib in 02.
Springs or Coils?
My cousin, had a 99se which rode on H&R springs. He loved them, and swore not to go Coils.
Other people, say the reverse. Which, in you infinite wisdom, do you think is the better buy.

Well,... this gets into what you want, the ride, comfort, looks, performance, price?
If Price weren't a big thing, I'd get the coilovers, so I can adjust them for street, race, AutoX, ... etc.
But since most of us DON'T have money to blow, I'd suggest getting springs, and new struts at the same time to improve the stance, handling and ride.
Personally I'm VERY happy with my Eibach setup, especially with the Sway Bars! That is probably the most drastic change to the handling.
Also it's a PITA to change your height with the coilovers, even the Quest / KORE ones, they are REALLY pretty too, but you'd have to watch your camber, tire wear,... etc
Right now I don't change crap, I just get in and drive, and I know how the car performs EVERYTIME, cuz I haven't changed the setup. I can't be bother to.
Anyway enough of my rant, take those factors into considering what you want.
I think there is another thread dealing with this topic too.

Coilovers for me this spring... I would like to know what would be the best coilovers for our 1st gen Tibis, since I'm going to invest this kind of money I want to make sure it will be worth it (Keep in mine that I do Auto X racing).
Depending on how much you want to spend on coil-overs, will depend on the ride quality you will get. If you get cheap insert-syle coil overs, you will probably shake you car to bits driving down the road.
If you have ever been driving on the hwy, and saw a little honda civic boncing down the road, the person is probably running insert-style coil overs.
Springs on the other hand, will not drop your car as much as a set of coilovers, but they offer a great ride quality. I have Eibach springs in my stocker struts and for everday driving it is a nice balance.
If you have the $$$ buy a set of TIEN or even Quest (the race version)coilovers, they are a really nice set up. If you are on a budget springs will give you a little bit of a drop, and a much more comfy ride.
I can't vote on the poll, because one isn't really better than the other, it a matter of what you are comfortable with and what kind of ride you want in your car. Like JohnTiburon said. Springs are for go. Coilovers are for show.

Don't forget, there the H&R cup suspension kit out as well. non-adjustable, but sold as a set of matched 2" drop springs and struts. I think they run about $620 shipped thru Tirerack. I'd consider this the "best buy" at the moment. Reputable company, plug and play, and lower cost than buying the components separately.
