Default Tire fitment advice!

Hey all.

Just wondering what the widest tire that an x3 accent will fit, 14" and 15" wise.

have a set of 14" gsi rims, and looking to get better tires.. used to 205's on the escort which hauled ass lowered with strut bars.. so im looking to see what size 14" or even 15" i can fit on the car running factory offset if not close.

which leads to question number 2.

what is the factory offset of the x3 accent?

You can fit 205's. 215's can be used if you roll the fenders in the back, maybe even 225's if you roll the fenders flat and get the offset right.

205 width tires shouldn't really go on anything narrower than a 7" wide wheel, but you could probably get away with mounting them on a 6.5" wheel without any real problems.

when you mount a wider tire on a narrower wheel you lose alot of the contact patch

theres no point on putting a 205 on a 6" wide wheel when you end up with a contact patch of about 185
