Default Bought new rims & tires.....

So I went ahead and bought a new set of rims and tires. I needed to replace my tires, and a couple of my rims had some curb rash on them. So figured why not and get myself a new set, and use the current set for emergencies or something else.

I ended up getting these through Wheels Next, with kumho Ecsta Mx tires. They're Azule Speed 5's and Gold Gloss:

My tib is red, so I think these will look pretty good with it. I wanted something that wasnt flashy, and not too over the top. I absolutely hate black rims (reminds me too much of having steelies on), and I didnt want to go with white rims again, since white is the biggest pain in the ass to keep clean. Silver is played out since everyone has them (like black rims now), so figured I would go and do something different. I was looking at some bronze rims too, but Wheels Next gave me a sick sick deal on these with tires, security lugs, and nitro filled tires. So I couldnt pass it up.

I'll snap some pics when they come in. I'm hoping I can pull the car out of winter storage within a month, since we've been getting alot of sunny days lately, and its been warming up little by little. So by the time Mid to end March roles around, we should be finished with the snow....HOPEFULLY!

I think those will look pretty good. I'll have to see pics to tell for sure though. I'm having trouble picturing it.

Thanks. I did some google searches to try and find red cars with gold rims, and I came across this thread on a Honda site:

They came in today. Now just gotta wait 3 or 4 weeks for all the snow and salt to be completely gone, and I'll put on the tib, and pull it out of winter hibernation. smile.gif We usually get alot of rain in March and April around here, so by the time the end of March hits, most of the salt will be washed away on the roads. Cant wait! I'm tired of driving my winter beater. laugh.gif And I want to pull my bike out (CBR-1000) for the season too.

The one thing I'm a little worried about in regards to these rims, is that Wheels Next never sent me any hubcentric rings. I forgot to ask them for some, so I'm wondering if there will be really bad vibration when I put the rims on. scratchhead.gif

Until my last set of wheels I had never used hubcentric rings even though I was supposed to need them and it never gave me a vibration. My newest wheels came with them so I use them.
